Tell a mate.
Get $89.

Send someone our way and we'll put $89 credit on your account when they connect. No limit on how many, no forms to chase, no expiry date. They just need to tell us who sent them.

Refer someone, get $89.

We've been going since 2008 without a marketing department. Most of our customers came from someone else telling them we were worth a shot — so we'd rather pay that forward than pay it to a billboard.

  • $89 including GST, every time

That's a full month of Fibre Fast at 500/100 Mbps, or a month of unlimited rural wireless. Credit goes straight onto your account.

  • No cap on how many

Refer one person or ten. Every connection that goes live is another $89. There's no annual limit and no ceiling on the total.

  • Refer yourself as well

Taking on a second connection — a bach, the office, a sleepout out the back? Same $89. On Fibre Fast or unlimited wireless that's its first month on us.

  • Nothing to claim or chase

No codes, no links, no app. They mention your name when they sign up and we do the rest. We're a small team and we know our customers by name.

  • Credit doesn't expire

It sits on your account until it's used and carries forward month to month. We don't claw it back if the person you referred later leaves.

  • No awkwardness either way

We never tell the person you referred what you earned, and we never cold-call someone whose name you've passed on. They come to us in their own time.

Three steps. That's it.

Same whether they end up on fibre or wireless.

1

Tell someone about us

A neighbour stuck on a bad connection, a mate paying too much, a business sick of offshore call centres. Point them at ew.net.nz or give them our 0800 number.

2

They mention your name

When they sign up they tell us who referred them — your name or your account number, either works. On the sign-up form it goes in the "Anything you'd like us to know?" box, or they can just say it on the phone.

3

$89 lands on your account

Once their connection is live we credit your account $89 including GST. You'll see it on your next invoice. Nothing to claim, nothing to chase.

If you've heard any of these lately — that's a referral.

Residential fibre

"I'm paying a fortune and I still can't get anyone on the phone."

Same fibre, same Chorus network. Unlimited data, a free static IP and free standard install on every plan, open-term with no contract and no exit fee — and a support team in Gisborne rather than an offshore call centre.

Wireless

"They told me fibre doesn't come down our road."

That's exactly who we built the wireless network for. Towers, repeaters and rural relays across Poverty Bay, Northern Hawke's Bay and Eastern Bay of Plenty.

Business

"Our connection drops out and nobody will own it."

Business fibre and wireless, static IP included on those too, real NZ support, and people who'll actually answer when something breaks.

Moving house

"We're shifting in a couple of months."

A move is the easiest time to switch. Tell them to give us a call before they sign up somewhere else — and to mention your name while they're at it.

We'd rather pay you than a billboard.

Advertising is expensive and nobody believes it. A neighbour saying "give this lot a go" is worth more than any campaign we could run — so that's where the money goes.

No limit

Refer one person or ten. Each connection that goes live is another $89 on your account.

No expiry

Credit sits on your account until it's used. It doesn't lapse and it doesn't get clawed back.

No cold calls

We don't want their phone number from you. They get in touch when they're ready, and name you then.

Questions people ask.

Who can refer someone?

Any current Evolution Wireless customer with an account in good standing. Residential and business accounts both qualify.

How many people can I refer?

As many as you like. There's no cap and no annual limit — every person who connects is another $89 on your account.

What counts as a sign-up?

Any new broadband connection — fibre or wireless — that isn't already running on our network. It can be someone else's or a second one of your own. Phone-only plans and add-ons like mesh wifi or cameras don't trigger the credit on their own, and neither does changing plan on a service you already have.

When does the credit appear?

On your next invoice after their connection goes live. Fibre installs are scheduled by Chorus and can take a few weeks, so there's usually a gap between the sign-up and the credit landing.

If it's been a while and you haven't seen it, get in touch and we'll sort it.

Can I have it as cash instead?

No — it's account credit, offset against your bill. It doesn't expire while your account is open, and if you're in credit it just carries forward month to month.

Do I need to give you their contact details?

No, and we'd rather you didn't. The tidiest way is for them to give us your name when they sign up. That way nobody's details change hands without them knowing about it, and we're not cold-calling someone who never asked us to.

If they've asked you to have us call them, tell us and we will.

Does the person I refer get anything?

They get our standard deal — open-term plans, no contract, no early termination fee, free standard fibre install, and a free static IP on every fibre plan. The $89 goes to you for the introduction.

What if they leave later on?

Credit that's been applied stays applied. We don't reverse it.

Can I refer myself?

Yes. If you're taking on an additional connection of your own — a second property, a bach, the office, a sleepout — we'll credit you the same $89. On Fibre Fast or unlimited wireless that's the new connection's first month free.

It has to be a genuinely new connection, not a plan change or an upgrade on a service you already have. Just tell us when you're setting it up.

The fine print

$89 including GST per successful referral, applied as credit to the referrer's account. The referrer must be a current customer with an account in good standing at the time the credit is applied.

The referral must be named at sign-up — we can't backdate one once an account is already up and running. Credit is applied after the referred connection is live and active, and appears on the next invoice.

Self-referrals qualify: an existing customer taking on an additional connection earns the same credit. It must be a new connection, not a plan change or an upgrade to an existing service.

Account credit only: not redeemable for cash and not transferable to another account. One credit per new connection, no matter how many services that customer takes.

We may change or end this offer at any time. Referrals named before a change are honoured under the terms that applied then. Our full terms of service and privacy policy apply.

Know someone who'd be better off?

Send them our way. We'll look after them, and we'll look after you for the introduction.
